Dear customer, for this bench grinder, yes the flex shaft can be attached on the left side for left-handed users. The hand piece of this bench grinder is accepting accessories with a shank size up to 5/32 inch(4.0mm). Thus, those drill bit sets and standard rotary tool accessories used on Dremel can also be fitted with our flex shaft. Hope this helps
